Our perfect honeymoon

 Having got married in Limassol after an amazing week spent with friends and family, we travelled up to Villa Kibar for a week on our own private honeymoon getaway. First praise of many, for Sharon and the team at Beehives nothing was too much trouble and they far exceeded our expectations. They arranged for a taxi to come and pick us up in the south and take us up to the north with no hassle at all (Although I would say to confirm what luggage you are taking with you as we had too many cases for the car!) but even then the taxi driver arranged for a bigger car to meet us at the border and he handled all border crossing documents for us, we didn't even have to leave the car. When we arrived we had a lovely little welcome pack, essentials in the fridge and soon after a Suzuki 4x4 arrived for our use, again all dealt with by Sharon/the team.
 The location is simply perfect. The picturesque all round views are beautiful, the un-obstructed views of the sea and the views of the mountains really make for the ideal setting. I'm already sat here thinking how long this going to take! I'll try not to just describe the place as it already has that. With just the two of us there, luckily there was no need to fight for master bedroom which is superb, waking up to the attached balcony and the breathtaking views really helps to start off a good day :-) That said, every single room in the house is amazing and we spent an age "oh isn't that lovely/cute/pretty" walking around looking at the little personal touches of decoration that really make you feel welcome and at home.
 The pool and numerous outdoor lounge areas are a real highlight and for us the focal point as it is all very well linked to the staircase, kitchen, lounge. The whole area with the beautifully landscaped gardens make it easy to spend hours of the day there. They have really thought about everything here, many times we thought damn we need a...... Oh there it is. Plenty of cutlery, glasses/plastics countless utensils, speaker docking station, water cooler etc again making for a very relaxed and carefree holiday. I'm running out of characters and haven't even mentioned the surrounding areas! Bellapais is a beautiful little village in close proximity and the main town not to far either with shopping and the lovely harbour with some gorgeous restaurants. This is really a place you can keep busy with lots around to do or do naff all and stay at the villa. Tbc.....
 
 Fantastic villa

 From the moment we approached the villa we both new that we had chosen the right property for our holiday. Words cannot describe how fantastic the interior had been designed and presented. Every attention to detail had been carefully considered and planned. The villa had a distinct homely Moroccan feel. The outside of the property definitely had the wow factor with the beautiful pool which we never seemed to escape from. The views from this villa were truly spectacular especially at night with the beautiful sunsets whilst sipping champagne. Our overall impression of this beautiful home was stunning, peaceful, relaxing and definitely out of this world.Thank you Sharon for making our week very special we hope to be back very soon.

Holiday for 70th birthday celebration
 5 of 5 Holiday Villa Kibar - August 2013.

Thank goodness we didn’t cancel our holiday booking with you last year to celebrate my 70th birthday. We had a wonderful time and I know we will all remember the fun we had for years to come. It was lovely to see the birthday card and Happy Birthday flags in the kitchen entrance when we arrived. The car picked us up at the airport as arranged.

When we arrived - six adults and five children - all the children (and some adults) were rushing round the villa not quite believing it was just as you had described. The pool lights were on and it looked amazing.

The garden area was much larger than I had expected and we did enjoy the “chill out “ zone. We had several BBQ’s in the garden and went to the Ambiance Restaurant for my daughter-in-law’s birthday outing and to Kybele for my birthday meal.

Of course the children loved the villa pool and the youngest, aged six, learnt to swim after a few days.

We went to Alagadi Beach several times and were lucky enough to see some baby turtles just out of their nests although we couldn’t get on to any of organised evening sessions as they were booked up. However, we got plenty of photos for FUTURE school projects. One of the beaches we enjoyed the most was Shayna Beach.

One of the highlights was going on one of the day boat trips. We all swam in the sea from the boat. This was something I had always wanted to do, although it was a bit of an effort for me climbing up the ladder to get back on to the boat!

Thank you so much for all the helpful e-mails you sent me during the last year. I shall quite miss our e-mail conversations. You never know perhaps we will be able to go back

again some time.

“We were blown away the minute we saw and stepped inside the villa. From its lovely blue front door to going inside and seeing all the beautiful stone and wood. We particularly liked the driftwood pieces, wooden hearts on each bedroom door and all the lovely candle holders and lanterns. Very tastefully decorated.

The pool was lovely with so many sun loungers to try out in order to get different views of the garden. It was magic

relaxing by the pool and listening to the little wind chimes

tinkling in the breeze - such a nice touch.

The villa really is the perfect place for a big family holiday. Even the kitchen was very spacious and the lounge so cozy.

A slice of paradise

Having decided to get married at Bellapais Abbey in June we set about finding a suitable villa to accommodate our immediate family and friends. We actually drove past this villa and commented on how lovely it would be if we could find somewhere like that so when we realized it was available to rent it felt like it was meant to be and we certainly weren't disappointed.

The owners really have thought of everything and Kibar Ev is a real home from home, not just another holiday rental. The villa is beautifully furnished with each bedroom having a different theme. All rooms had fans and their own air-conditioning, a must in the hot summer months although the thick stone walls are very cooling. The master bedroom is beautiful with a huge balcony overlooking the pool and fantastic views of Kyrenia and the sea, a great way to wake up every morning.

The villa was also excellently equipped with the only thing I couldn't find being an ice cream scoop which I'm sure the owner has now rectified! The kitchen was a dream with every mod con going including a dishwasher, a must when there are 12 of you all eating at the same time.

We filled it to capacity yet it never felt as if we were crammed in. Our party ranged from age 9 months to 71 years of age and it was suitable for everyone.

The gardens are lovely and dotted with quiet relaxation areas if the kids are getting a bit loud in the pool. The pool itself was a great size, safe and a lovely temperature to cool off in. It was also cleaned twice by the maintenance company during our week's stay.

The outdoor eating space provides a great area for a lovely barbecue in the evening as the sun goes down.

It's in an excellent location just 10 minutes drive from Bellapais village and the Abbey and 5 mins to local restaurants in Ozankoy or about 15-20mins to central Kyrenia. You will need a car unless you are a very keen walker but the owners can help with organizing transfers and car hire if required.

Whilst this place will always hold special memories for us because of our wedding it truly is a magical place and I long to return
